Workbooks is an all-in-one solution that combines sales pipeline, marketing, customer support and customer relationship management. Whether you need to manage one, several or all of these areas, Workbooks will serve you well.

You Could Swear it's Desktop

Right off the bat, we notice that Workbooks has a web interface like no other web app. Generally speaking, web applications look like websites, but Workbooks doesn't. The interface actually looks like Windows 7. You could swear you are running a Windows Remote Desktop session when using the product. From a usability standpoint, this helps reduce the learning curve dramatically because if you understand Windows, a few seconds will suffice to understand Workbooks. Although one might think this is a lack of originality, we think this is brilliant as it is nearly impossible to get lost or complain about ergonomy.

Sales and Marketing Management

Workbooks offers an impressive range of features for sales and marketing management. Leads, opportunities, products, quotations, and campaigns can be taken care of with great efficiency. Most forms are well-built and empower you to enter lots of details for every item. Custom fields can be added in accordance with your needs. The ability to manage marketing campaigns, which includes Google AdWords integration, is particularly interesting. A budget, target revenue and spending (budgeted and actual) can be set and managed without hassles.

Dashboards and Reporting

Topic-based dashboards can be created, whether you need to track a specific department's performance, sales, leads, financials or other relevant data. Several types of segments can be added to a dashboard and the full report for every segment can be viewed in a flash, in a single mouse click.

Reporting is also very flexible. Reports can be created from a template, from an existing report or from scratch. Objects of different kinds can be added to a report and several filters can be applied.

Email Integration

An optional Outlook Connector can be added at an extra cost. This plugin auto-syncs contacts, activities and emails with Outlook. Emails can be sent within Workbooks and as a result, synced with your company's Outlook database.

The Bottom Line

If you need to manage all your sales, marketing and customer relations using one system, Workbooks is a great option. The short learning curve, the number of features and third-party integration with Google AdWords and Outlook are huge plusses for Workbooks compared to other CRM. Give it a try and see for yourself!
