With time sheets moving out of excel and homegrown applications, organizations expect both flexibility and ease of use from their tool.
Tenrox Project Workforce is a completely web-based system that allows employees to fill out their time sheets and expense reports. Managers can approve
the time sheet and expense reports. Administrators get reports and export the data to payroll or accounting. We especially liked the multiple-currency
support for expenses, with built-in configurable exchange rates. It saves on conversions on the reporter’s end.
Time and Expenses
Tenrox takes employee time and expenses management a step further: it also manages leave requests and employee calendars.
From the employee’s side, Tenrox is simple and easy to use. Fill out a time sheet or an expense report and submit it for approval. That’s all. From the
manager’s side, Tenrox shows its muscle. The system can be made as simple or as complex as required. The organization can setup as many levels of approval
as needed, and Tenrox will automate them.
Once setup to fit the organization’s processes, Tenrox doesn’t need to be babysat. It will alert the team when something needs their attention, and otherwise
simply hum along.
Reporting and Workflow
On the reporting side, Tenrox is as configurable as the rest of the system. We especially liked the Time By reports, a set of reports that show a graphical
view of the time sheet distribution by time type, budget and user group. Tenrox reports can be customized further, so one can see data for a specific
project, resource or time type.
Beyond its highly configurable workflows and reports, Tenrox introduces the paperless office to organizations. Because everything is logged in the system,
the data is still there. However, there are no more forms to print out and circulate around the office. If not for the environment, the sheer simplification
and automation of that process is worth implementing Tenrox alone.

Overall, Tenrox is a powerful system that goes beyond time sheets and offers comprehensive team management functionality.
