Bidding Options

All companies who are listed on www.web-based-software.com can bid for placement. There are four options available to you:

• On the home page.
• As a sponsored listing at the top of the page, in a category of your choice:
  • Project Management.
  • Customer Service.
  • Time Sheet Management.
  • Bug Tracking.
  • Online Calendar.
  • Document Management.
• As a banner advertisement in the site header (appears on all pages).
• As an article in the software review section.

Placement and Pricing

The order of appearance of advertisers is determined by the amount they bid for placement:

• Minimum bids depends on the listing:
  • On the home page: US$0.50.
    • There is a maximum of 12 listings on the front page. Only the top 12 bidders will be displayed.
  • As a sponsored listing at the top of the page, in a category of your choice: US$0.25.
    • There is a maximum of 10 listings per page. The 11th to 20th highest bidders' listing will be displayed on page 2 of the category, 21st to 30th on the third page, and so forth.
  • As a banner advertisement in the site header (appears on all pages): US$1.00.
    • There is only one banner available. Only the highest bidder will be displayed.
  • As an article in the software review section: US$1.00 + US$200.00 setup fee for writing the article.
    • All reviews are displayed, with the highest bidder on top.
• The highest bidder will get top placement in the option selected.
• In the event that more than one bidder for the highest amount, the earliest bid will earn top placement.
• All advertisers can see their competitors' bid through their account administration section.

Your Account

Payment is made in advance, through an account in which each advertiser deposits money.

• Whenever someone clicks on your listing, the amount you bid is debited from your account balance.
• You can set an account balance at which www.web-based-software.com emails you to remind you to deposit funds in your account.
• Whenever your account balance reaches 0 (zero), your listing(s) are taken offline until you can deposit more money in your account.

Account Administration

All bidders have an account that is accessible in the administration section (login and password required).

• You can see your account balance in real time.
• You can set an account balance flag amount at which www.web-based-software.com emails you to remind you to deposit funds in your account.
• You can see the transaction history for your account, including credits, debits and clicks charged.
• You can manage all your listings from the same account:
  • Set the URL where you listing links.
  • Modify the description for your listings.
  • Set a bid price for each listing individually.
  • Take a listing offline temporarily.
• You can see all clicks on your listings (click for statistics demo):
  • Date & time
  • Originating IP
  • Country, region, city
  • Operating system, browser, screen resolution
  • Referring site (how the visitor arrived on www.web-based-software.com)
• You can see and download monthly statistics about clicks on your listings (MS Excel format).

Click Fraud Prevention

Safety is important to us: www.web-based-software.com has monitoring applications in place to ensure that the clicks on your listing are legitimate.

• Our fraud-detection monitoring application detects the IP from which the click comes from . You will not be charged unless at least 6 hours have elapsed since the last time your listing was clicked from the same IP.
• Should you detect and demonstrate the occurrence of fraudulent clicks on your listings, we will credit those clicks to your account.
