In fact TeamDesk makes database management as easy as can be.
For example, within TeamDesk, you can have your project management, sales database and customer support! You can even have your human resources department log its recruitment efforts right in the system. This is centralization as it is meant to be: to make information available to everyone, conveniently.
From the get go, TeamDesk is highly intuitive and features a clean, tab-based interface. Colors can be easily adjusted to fit within your corporate look.
There are over 25 applications, from lease management to lease tracking, press release management and even recruitment. Those applications function as templates that can be customized. We especially liked how easy it was to add, change or reorder information fields within an application.
User management is just as simple: you can create user types, add several users with the same access rights and have TeamDesk invite them automatically.
Email notification is another well-thought-out feature in the system: it goes beyond the basic email notification on system changes. Users can setup filters and conditions upon which to send email notifications, as well as who to send the notification to.
From the data import/export point of view, we were thrilled how easy is was to import data: by browsing to a comma separated (.CSV) or tab separated (.TSV) files, or by simply copying and pasting spreadsheet data. TeamDesk will then let you decide which fields to associate your data to.
In conclusion, TeamDesk is a great product for companies looking for a ready-built system for project and database management, and even a better product for those who like to tweak their system to fit their specific needs.
