Our team of specialists has reviewed IBN Project Management. We actually connected to a demo version of the product, test drove it and wrote down our comments. The review was written objectively and isn't advertising-driven.
For those looking to implement a virtual office, Instant Business Network might be worth a look.
Completely web-based, Instant Business Network creates a virtual environment to manage projects, track issues, run the help desk, manage time sheets and even includes customer relationship management (CRM) features.
Instant Business Network’s project management features allows the creation or project, portfolios, and some document management. Project managers assign their team to the project and activities, and then can in turn log time for the project. Projects can be regrouped under portfolios and clients, for easier reporting and browsing.
The helpdesk is designed first for the support crew who takes calls and processes email. We especially liked the ability to preset expected delays to response and resolution for the tickets.
Time sheets in Instant Business Network are easy to fill out. Users can log time for any project, task or issue they’ve been working on, then send the time sheet for approval.
The Contacts section makes it easy to manage clients and contacts, to keep track of the different projects, issues and todos waiting for the client.
Throughout the application, we were impressed with the flexibility of Instant Business Network: nearly everything can be configured, from custom reports all the way to the email notification rules. For example, in the Document Management section, one can upload a file, paste a link or simply create the document in an HTML editor, right from the application.
The familiar Microsoft-style interface makes it easy to feel at home with Instant Business Network. Moreover, the system integrates with Microsoft products, such as Active Directory, Outlook, and Project.
Overall, Instant Business Network is a good tool to implement the virtual office and make it your own.
