Clarizen a multi-purpose project management software. From project tracking to timesheet management and issue tracking, Clarizen is a solution that can replace several tools you have probably been using everyday, for years.
Right off the bat, when we login the first time, Clarizen provides a getting started video and a link to various tutorials. This is very helpful to keep first-time users from getting lost. Furthermore, the first time we access a new section (e.g. Time Tracking), basic information on the corresponding feature is provided. With this approach, Clarizen helps you get off on the right foot and shorten the learning curve substantially.
Clarizen offers lots more than project management per se. Compared to some solutions that oversell features that don't do much in reality, most features Clarizen offers are very effective and powerful. Among others, Clarizen does "Work Management", which is what the whole software solution does essentially. A system that empowers you to manage projects, resources, issues, expenses, as well as time tracking and even search for vendors in an online directory is more than a project management software. This is work management indeed.
Besides Gantt charts, Microsoft Project import and the above-mentioned features, Clarizen offers key features we rarely (if ever) saw in other project management software products on the market. When creating a project, the user can choose among built-in project templates (e.g. there is a template available if sub-projects involved, with the whole structure defined accordingly). Another nice feature is the ability to share a project's roadmap by email or widget. Hence, the client for whom the project is done can be kept posted easily in a flash.
New users can be invited by email. For example, if you think about someone who should be involved in a project while you are scheduling resources, you may simply create a profile for them and email them an invitation. Finally, the vendor directory is a handy resource should you need to outsource some work in a project, purchase materials or services from an expert.
Clarizen is suitable for businesses of any size that look for a project management system that does more than most options around. Most of your day-to-day workload can be managed using this program only. The learning curve is very short and well-known companies actually use Clarizen (UPS and Lenovo, among others). For all these reasons, Clarizen deserves to be tried out.
